Animal Radio® PARTNERS WITH H.S.U.S. - Network's Second Year as "Spay Day USA" Sponsor

(PRWeb) December 23, 2006 -- The nationally syndicated Animal Radio® program and its producers are once again sponsoring Spay Day USA, celebrated February 27th 2007. The nationwide event, founded by the Doris Day Animal Foundation and now organized by the H.S.U.S. (Humane Society of the United States), was created to educate guardians about preventing unwanted litters.

Animal Radio® is partnering with the H.S.U.S. to promote the importance of Spay Day, to help facilitate Spay Day programs and to clear up common misconceptions that keep animals from being Spayed or Neutered.

"The Spay Day event is obviously near and dear to the Animal Radio® missive. We designed Animal Radio® to educate guardians, thereby reducing unnecessary surrenders of animals to shelters and the ultimate euthanasia simply because they're homeless," says Associate Producer Judy Francis. "For us, Spay Day is 365 days a year!"

Learn more about Spay Day at SpayDayUSA.org and listen to Animal Radio's Spay Day Special airing Saturday, February 24th on 93 radio stations nationwide, in independent pet stores, on any cell phone, iTunes and Yahoo! Podcasts and streaming online at AnimalRadio.com. Air-times and station information is at http://AnimalRadio.com. Animal Radio® is America's most-listened-to pet-talk according to Arbitron with 2-million weekly pet-loving listeners.
