Popular Radio Personalities Premiere New TV Show
(PRWEB) November 10, 2005 -- Rick Woodell and Kimberly Kelly have taken the leap from morning radio team fame on Greenville, South Carolina based Magic 98.9 WSPA FM, moving on to the TV screen in their new show, Talk Of The Town with Rick and Kimberly. The series is a regional showcase of people, places, and events in the Carolinas and Georgia, airing on Charter Communications cable outlets throughout the region. The show is being directed by film and television veteran Ray Belcher, who is bringing a new level of production into the local television market.
According to co-host Rick Woodell, “There is nothing on local television that looks or feels like it.” His on-screen partner, Kimberly Kelly added, “I believe we can take local television to a new level of entertainment... I am thrilled to show off what a great area we live in, and to be able to do so with some of the highest quality production available.”
Rick and Kimberly each bring outstanding broadcast credentials to the show and have been recently featured in regional publications including Greenville Magazine and South Carolina Magazine. Rick Woodell brings with him an impressive resume of both radio and television work, having been honored with numerous awards, including 44 gold and platinum records, 3 “Addy” awards, and Billboard Magazine Program Director of the Year.
Kimberly Kelly is no stranger to television audiences, having appeared as a returning guest on Fox News' Fox and Friends for two years. As exclusive host of the BMW “Celebrity Walk of Fame”, she has interviewed everyone from Dan Quayle and Wayne Gretzky to Kevin Costner and Kurt Russell, and was honored last year as MetroBeat's “Best FM Radio Personality” for 2004.
