Holistic Pediatric Association Joins BAM Radio Network
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 25, 2008 -- Today, the BAM Radio Network (BRN), a joint project of Moving & Learning and Jackstreet Media, announced an agreement with the Holistic Pediatric Association (HPA) to bring BRN programming to it community. The new resource will feature BRN's premier program, Body, Mind and Child (www.bodymindandchild.com), hosted by Rae Pica, an early childhood expert with 30 years of experience in the field.
The agreement will give HPA members and parents access to the latest insights in early childhood development. The program will be Nanocasted on the HPA web site at www.hpakids.org, distributed through the HPA newsletter and made available for download to the organization's members and parents via podcast.
"We share a common mission with HPA, namely to nurture and develop the whole child -- body and mind," said Rae Pica." This relationship is a natural fit, and we look forward to collaborating with them to encourage parents to make informed choices on behalf of their children."
HPA President Larry Palevsky, MD, adds, "This new resource will help HPA achieve its goal to honor and respect the innate potential of the child from pre-conception through childhood and into adulthood."
About HPA:
The HPA: the Alliance for Holistic Family Health and Wellness is a 501-C3 status non-profit, educational organization. Its mission is to unite parents and health professionals in the common goal of improving and transforming family health care into a safe, nurturing, and sensible holistic system. HPA empowers parents to trust their natural wisdom and make informed choices on behalf of their children. The organization offers education and support and network practitioners who are supportive of the family wellness lifestyle.
About BAM Radio Network:
The BAM Radio Network was launched to address the severe imbalance in parenting practices caused by the "commercialization of parenting" and the emphasis on intellectual development that excludes the critical role of the mind/body connection in early childhood. Created by leading early childhood experts, the programming challenges the popular genre of parenting notions that has given rise to commercial products like Baby Einstein, Brainy Baby and lapware, all of which claim to accelerate a child's mental development in the face of science that suggests otherwise. The network is a joint venture between New Hampshire-based Moving & Learning and Los Angeles-based Jackstreet Media. The program is distributed through the Affiliate Nanocasting Network.

How Does Satellite Radio Work?
Satellite radio is one of the biggest improvements in broadcasting since the introduction of FM. Satellite radio signal can be broadcasted for more than 35,000 kilometers (22,000 miles) with complete clarity and high quality sound. You will never get static interferences while listening to over 100 radio channels. The idea behind satellite radio has appeared in 1992, when the United States Federal Communications Commission granted a spectrum of the S band (the 2.3 GHz frequency) for Digital Audio Radio Service. The license to broadcast in that band was allocated to Sirius Satellite Radio and XM Satellite Radio in 1997. Now there are three companies that provide satellite radio in the world: Sirius and XM in Northern America and WorldSpace i...
