Radio 92.9 EarthFest Partners with OurStage.com to Select Local Performers
Boston, MA (PRWEB) April 9, 2008 -- Radio 92.9 and OurStage.com announce a new online competition to find local Massachusetts acts to perform at the 15th annual EarthFest on May 24, 2008 at the Hatch Shell in Boston. The top five local acts from the 929 EarthFest Channel on OurStage.com will be awarded an opportunity to perform in front of an expected 100,000 person crowd.
OurStage.com, a leading online destination for discovering music from top emerging artists, provides a unique judging engine that allows any local band to participate in a competition where the general public can decide who wins. All of the artists are ranked based on this judging. The runners up (bands ranked second through fourth) in the 929 EarthFest Channel will play The Boston Music Stage and the number one artist will win the grand prize, an opportunity to rock the Main Stage with Radio 92.9 EarthFest's headlining acts.

This year's event takes place on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at The DCR Hatch Shell from 10am to 6pm, The event is produced in conjunction with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation and is presented by Whole Foods Market.
