Since children get all excited about modern technology, two way radios are really appealing to them. Have you been wondering how to get your children outside to play? There are other situations where a family member should be carrying a two way radio. Have you ever thought about carrying one with you when you are running errands? What is more serious is when you have a flat tire and find that your spare is flat. Instead of going into a panic, just contact your family on your two way radio. One advantage over a cell phone is that you don?t have to worry about whether you will have service in that particular area.
Perhaps you have an elderly parent who still drives. You will feel less worried when you know that your parent is carrying a two way radio and can contact you if there is a problem while he or she is out and about. Most of the two way radios now have very long-lasting batteries.
There are so many more uses for modern two way radios than there used to be with the earlier walkie-talkies. Although they may cost a little more, there is no monthly fee to use them. Just check the batteries periodically and you are all set!
