BAM Radio Network Goes Live with PE Central Radio

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 21, 2008 -- Today, the BAM Radio Network (BRN), a joint project of Moving & Learning and Jackstreet Media, announced that it has teamed with PE Technologies to launch PE Central Radio. The new channel is featured on www.pecentral.org, a popular site reaching over 100,000 health and physical education teachers, parents and students monthly with the latest information about developmentally appropriate physical education programs for children and youth.

PE Central Radio will nanocast BRN's premier program, Body, Mind and Child (www.bodymindandchild.com), hosted by Rae Pica, a 30-year veteran in the field of early childhood education. The program offers insightful discussions with the nation's leading experts on the issues parents and teachers care about most.

"We are in the midst of a childhood obesity epidemic. Physical education is not just a good idea; it can make the difference between a short life or a long life for the next generation," said Rae Pica. "PE Central has been an advocate for physical education for over 10 years. We're pleased to partner with them to keep parents, teachers and students apprised of the latest insights in the field," Pica stated.

PE Central's executive director, Mark Manross, added, "We are very excited about partnering with Rae Pica and Body, Mind and Child. The audio interviews being conducted by Rae Pica with the leaders in the physical activity field are a wonderful addition to our site."

About PE Central:

PE Central is the premier web site for health and physical education teachers, parents and students. The site provides the latest information about contemporary physical education programs for children and youth. Resources on the site include health and physical education lesson ideas, ready-to-print assessments, adapted physical education information, classroom management techniques, online interactive programs for kids, a job center, media center, and information about best practices in physical education and programs designed to motivate children and help them improve their motor skills and understanding of the importance of physical fitness. The company is located in Blacksburg, VA.

About BAM Radio Network:

The BAM Radio Network was launched to address the severe imbalance in parenting practices caused by the "commercialization of parenting" and the emphasis on intellectual development that excludes the critical role of the mind/body connection in early childhood. Created by leading early childhood experts, the programming challenges the popular genre of parenting notions that has given rise to commercial products like Baby Einstein, Brainy Baby and lapware, all of which claim to accelerate a child's mental development in the face of science that suggests otherwise. The network is a joint venture between New Hampshire-based Moving & Learning and Los Angeles-based Jackstreet Media Ventures LLC. The program is distributed through the Affiliate Nanocasting Network.
