Ham Radio Reminders for New/old Members of Meetings

(PRWeb) March 17, 2007 -- With the rush of new Amateur Radio Operators coming on board since the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has eliminated the Morse Code requirement, it is more important then ever that the Ham Clubs emphasize that Hams are known for policing their own. The clubs are a good place for these new operators to also pick up an "Elmer" ( if they do not have one) to help with any questions/problems they may have.

Key Chains (fobs) is one of the items the club can use to remind or tell of their Meeting. This has room for 40 characters in 4 lines and a replica of Amateur Radio Stamp (the stamp was issued by US Post Office December 15, 1954)on the other side. This plainly should be enough room for the time, place, date, and talk-in frequency of your event/meeting.

Another item that can be used for the purpose of letting Hams know of a function is magnetic reminders. The magnet has room for a stamp and 50 characters in 4 rows. These can be placed on the refrigerator or elsewhere so that even older members are reminded of the meeting.

These along with the available items (coffee mugs, paperweights, and t-shirts) are enough to advertise your upcoming functions (hamfests, DXpeditions) or your current meetings.

An area that has been added to Amateur Radio Gifts is a blog area for the owner of the web site! Currently there is an RSS there that will display current written articles by KS4LI about Amateur Radio! When you are finished with the article please post a comment on how it can be improved!

These items can also be used by other groups or businesses as well!

All of these items may be seen at http://www.amateurradiogifts.com/ .
