Jeff Kuprycz Joins BreakThru Radio as New Technical Director to Bridge the Gap of Listeners Across the World
New York, NY (PRWeb) January 8, 2007 -- BreakThru Radio (BTR), the Internet's voice of the World's Best Independent Music, welcomes Jeff Kuprycz as the company's newest Technical Director. Kuprycz joins an enthusiastic team of young music aficionados, and will further develop its connection with listeners from around the world.
Jeff Kuprycz joins BTR after recently graduating from Hofstra University, where he received a BA in Audio/Radio in the School of Communications. While Kuprycz attended Hofstra he served as the Music Director for WRHU and hosted a weekly indie rock show. In addition to being involved with the music department, Kuprycz worked with the University on developing WRHU's interactive website. He intends to bring that same passion to BTR, aiding in the development of an interactive library, as well as hosting a weekly live show from New York.
"It's so important that radio still has a space for music that deserves airplay because of its integrity and sound rather than its short-term marketing plan," Kuprycz explained. "BTR delivers content that corporate commercial stations are afraid of playing. There are no white walled meetings to pick the music we play, its done by the DJ's who are the same age as the listeners. It's exciting to know that the artists we interact with at BTR understand what we are trying to do and go above and beyond to be apart of changing the industry."
After graduation Kuprycz worked for Tommy Boy Records where he worked in the Digital Music and Marketing department. After six months Kuprycz couldn't resist the urge to get back into radio and feel the spirit of discovering great music on an independent level. Kuprycz couldn't feel more at home with BTR's attention to music and technology.
"BTR brings music to its listeners months before the record labels capitalize on it, we focus on rediscovering a so called 'mainstream'," he explained. "After listening to BTR, you get a fresh breathe of air, and realize commercial radio is a fraction of music you can live without. I couldn't be more excited about lending my passion and interest into BTR!"
